| Speaking to a Man Utd fan today, he can't understand this signing!! Ronaldo and Tevez allowed to leave, replaced by an injury prone player. Man Utd -- Come and Join the Baggies in Championship!! LOL |

| Someone has apparently already written on a Man U forum that in changing Ronaldo for Valencia, they have replaced the best player in the world..with the best player at Wigan.
Still- Fergie knows best. |

| Look, if he didn't sign for Man Utd he'd have signed for WCCC. He fits our normal player profile ! |

| It always amuses me the way the press suck up to Fergie, saying he knows best etc. remember Cantona, Sherringham etc. Whilst at the same time forgetting Veron, Nani, Anderson, Hargreaves, Silvestre, Forlan, Djemba Djemba, Fortune, half a dozen goalies between Schmeichel and Van Der Sar, and those are just of the top of my head, there's plenty more. But the fact is United can afford loads of bad signings, most other teams can't. So if a slow crocked scouse idol scores or not, it doesn't really matter as they will just go and spend another £30M on someone else. _________________ Alex Higgins R.I.P. | I'm not a United fan, but I personally think he could be the signing of the summer, if and I know it's a big if, but if he does stay fit, he will score a bucket load of goals for United, what United lack is a centre forward who will stay in the area looking for the chances, and with Rooney et al, I think he will be very good. If his partnership with Rooney starts to fire, what odds on him forcing his way not only into the England squad but the actual team for the start of the World Cup in South Africa next year.
On a sour note I still think United in losing Tevez and Ronaldo and bringing in Valencia and Owen are still a player or two short for next season, so if that brings United down a little, coupled with the fact that Chelsea have a new boss, I think that Liverpool could win back the championship next season, as long as Torres and Gerrard stay fit. _________________ GA Hick MBE, gone but not forgotten!!! Thanks for the memories First Game : 21/04/1991 vs Kent (Refuge Assurance Sunday League) - Team; Curtis, Moody, Hick, Botham, D'Oliveira, Neale*, Weston, Rhodes+, Illingworth, Lampitt, Radford. Won by 39 runs, Moody hit his highest One Day score of 160 in an opening stand with Curtis of 198. |

| They have also lost a couple of other influential figures in the close season
Mike Riley has become head of referees so I doubt he'll be officiating as well and Steve Bennett has retired to do something with cricket umpiring.
They've got 1 ready made replacement in Howard Webb but it'll be interesting to see who else Mr Ferguson brings in |

| I'm very relieved that MoN wasn't able to reunite the gravitationally challenged Heskey and Owen at Villa Park and set us back years Just imagine it... |
