| The Yeltz are in serious trouble- and maybe yeltzfan has gone down the pub to take the pain away.
Although he could have played at centre-forward this week- so many players have left that they took the field with 10 players and no subs.
I didn't realise things are so bad- whilst the Premiership and Championship have never been so rich, from the League One down to your local pub team, money has never been tighter.
Good luck to the Yeltz boys- if only for yeltzfan's sake. |

| Yes, it's really dire at The Grove. Tuesday night at St. George's Lane was the latest, and so far the worst embarrassment. Morell Maison took over 16 months ago in a blaze of publicity with Big Ron alongside but now we seem in dire straits. The most frustrating part is that MM has very little to say and continues to treat with contempt players, supporters, sponsors, shareholders etc. This leaves the Club and MM with little credibility but there appears to no sign of him leaving and there remains the prospect of administration etc. Ah well, it's off to Mangotsfield for the next debacle. I'm thinking I might even be making my debut on my looming 60th birthday...... |

| I sympathise with the problems at the Yeltz as we have suffered a similar fate this season at Stafford. The farce that was the 'Steve Bull era' cost the club far too much money and now we are paying the price for years of mis-management. Stafford will survive but players have gone and wages slashed. The football is dire but the league is so poor mid-table is still a possibility. Knowing MM at Halesowen as I do, he has always been full of the talk but it does appear that it is now all hot air. I just hope that the Yeltz come out of this. |

| Erm- do we honestly think 'Morell Maison' was the name he was born with? He sounds like a 1970s cabaret singer a la Bobby Crush, Dawson Chance and Tony Monopoly? |

| When I worked with him some years ago, he was known as 'Lawrence' but he has always been known as Morell in footballing circles. |

| Save the Yeltz again...... They- or rather the Board- have not paid gate money to away teams this season; and have been banned/disqualified from next year's FA Trophy...and FA Cup |

| The immediate deadline is midnight tonight from the FA. 2 clubs & 1 player are owed money and if this is not paid we will be suspended from playing matches having already been under an embargo from signing players for the last 10 days. These are the only football debts falling due now, others are allegedly stacking up and administration seems likely. |

| I am very sorry to point out, yeltzfan- that with the property market showing signs of bottoming out- now is the time to invest in housing land.
The motives of many owners of small football clubs in middle class areas are emotions that I have a watching brief over..cf. Wrexham a few years ago and Mr. Butcher, the ex-York chairman, who openly admits to owning an investment company that buys near-bust clubs [frequently from administrators or owner-chairmen and against the wishes of fans], strips out the value from players to computer systems to catering/conference bookings and then sells it on- knowing that even at that stage the supporters will buy it and he would not get permission for houses anyway. |

| Our ground is leased by the club from the James Grove Trust and has to remain for the recreational benefit of the townsfolk but Mr. Maison does appear to have plans for the surrounding land along the lines which you have set out. |

| Much like the Chelsea situation then, when after a split in ownership of club and ground in the turbulent 70s, the Chelsea Pitch Owners Company PLC- a fans organisation- own the pitch and the names 'Chelsea' and 'Chelsea Football Club'; and Mr.Abramovitch- who owns Chelsea Football Limited- has an exclusive licence on the names and owns the land round the pitch. With Ken Bates, times were 'fun' but I believe Chelsea Football Limited co-opt the Pitch Owners chairman onto their board and advertise them in their programmes- a double-lock if you like, for the future- and very good PR for Mr.Abramovitch! |
