Things seem fairly bleak there : http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/sport/4119005.Panter__Bigger_overdraft_necessary_to_save_City/

WORCESTER City are negotiating an overdraft extension in a bid to pull through their current financial crisis. The St George’s Lane club have taken the step after insisting they would go out of business without it.

It would see the overdraft limit extended from £60,000 to around £130,000 as the Blue Square South club try to balance the books.
Vice-chairman Jim Panter told a fans’ forum that the club is beginning to make progress on a day-to-day basis but still owe creditors around £50,000.

Here's the latest WBB, would seem to be progressing ok but no-one thought of the finer details first eg how do the fans actually get to the ground without being killed !

But you could say the same thing about crossing New Road-even with that dreaded speed camera in place!

Things go from bad to worse. It's worth reading the comments too.

http://www.worcesternews.co.uk/sport/4648230.COMMENT__Club_needs_to_find_clear_way_forward/

Careys New Homes wants to buy the stadium for a housing development and had agreed a price of £7.36 million about 18 months ago, subject to planning permission being granted.
However, the figure could now be as little as half that amount as it is understood City is braced for a bid of about £4 million.

The Blue Square South club needs to sell its home of more than a century in order to pay off debts in the region of £2 million, most of which is owed to the Royal Bank of Scotland.
That would leave it with about £2 million to build a new stadium at Nunnery Way, way short of the £5 million scheme unveiled last October as part of St Modwen’s £30 million development.

Dave Boddy unlikely to win Wigornian of the Year 2009, by the look of the comments.

Grim times indeed at WCFC. It's the 2nd qualifying round of the FA cup tomorrow, a game that WCFC cannot afford to lose.

On the pitch, City finish in bottom 3 in Blue Square South. However, they may stay up if only 2 teams go down following demise of Chester & Farley. To be decided by 12th June.

Rugby Club could be relegated tomorrow, as well.

Worcester will stay up as there are only two coming down from Conference, Grays Athletic are dropping through due to selling their ground!

Will they stay in the south conference resulting in a 120 mile round trip for a "local " derby.
Kiddy finishing 13th is a disappointment to put it mildly with a lack lustre final 2 months.
How many points did Barnes Homer's loan agreement to Luton cost the club ?

City were in ther Conference North, before a gamut of northern clubs were relegated from the Conference. I never did understand why City were in Conference South while Gloucester City were..... errr in Conference North. Saves on the police bills I suppose to keep the two sides apart!
