| I feel a need to get really angry. The reason I became a life member was primarily to watch championship cricket. if there comes a day when less 4 day cricket is played then I would expect to be compensated in some way. Whilst I enjoyed a lot of the Twenty 20 World Cup, a little goes a very long way and the average T20 holds little attraction. As for Edgbaston 2005, I was there. Sure England rattled up a big score very quickly. I seem to recall trhat a certain G McGrath turned his ankle on a stray ball before the game. Had he played the outcome might well have been very different. County members and fans do need ti debate this nationally and we must not just be dragged along by the people with pound notes in their eyes. |

| Surely a refund is in order?
Or, better still, a debenture system, where we can sell 'our' Championship seat for the days we are not there- with the Club as mechanism of exchange and allowed to charge a small admin. fee.
As a Life Member, I will not be upgrading to 20/20 for next year. |

| SUGGESTION - any volunteers to help out ?
There is no public, nationwide platform for these issues to be debated. Let's create one ! I'm suggesting a simple website which includes a forum (>> looks at Admin !) which can be used for all cricket lovers to discuss the key issues. We can engage every other club forum, websites and the press to help us out to promote it.
IF (big if) we can get enough UK contributors then we might have a voice - and I'm happy to accept that if the Sharon's hold the majority then so be it. But lets find out.
I've got loads of ideas, but will need help to set up and monitor the forum so that it works nicely like this one. |

| Agree with all the points raised again. The people in charge of the game and the counties are simply ruining it for the average member. 8 days CC home cricket will be lost, with the loss of 4 Home P40 games to be replaced with P20. Great- NOT !!!!! Life members such as WBB,Mrs Adjuster, Mrs Warrior and myself will get virtually no cricket for our package now. 6 LVCC games, a handful of FPT matches and yet WILL be expeected to pay a surchage of £xxx to attend T20 (happening now) and P20 games over the future. |

| To be fair, the Club have said that the P20 will not carry a surcharge. |

| The official view as I understand it (ie from the ECB) is that the championship might be reduced to 14 games. This isn't exactly breaking news - The Newt suggested as much last year. I can see the day coming, however, when the championship is split into three divisions of six, ie 10 games. We really don't need another 20/20 competition - the existing tournament could have been tweaked to accommodate the odd extra game, or maybe another group stage, ie two groups of four made up of the best eight finishing sides. |

| Whilst I fully understand the financial needs of all counties especially us, how does reducing the amount of cricket help. Surely the P20 will replace the P40, thus cutting the number of overs in those 8 games by half. Why do we need to lose another 8/16 days cricket? |

| I think the perceived need is two end the season earlier to accommodate the Champions League |

| And that itself may point the way forward: if the Champions League ends under floodlights on the 1st or 2nd October, then expect some floodlit competition from 2011 to roll the season into permanently ending in October- 40 overs can we hope? |

| This will prove a nightmare for the fixture organisers, its easy at the moment every county plays all others in their league Home and Away. Playing 2 or 4 less games will make this impossible !! Any Ideas that are fair?? Teams such as Glamorgan are weaker than others. The must be a better option of getting the games in. Scrap the useless University games is one. |

| " To be fair, the Club have said that the P20 will not carry a surcharge " wrote WBB. When was this ? If this is the case, then I've missed it. That means no increase in season ticket prices for 2010 then ? |

| No it does not Hotel not from the way that I understand it. It means that there will be not be an extra charge for the P20, that is not the same thing. |
