Which three counties have never reached T20 finals day?

Mmmmm....

Number of 'Sunday League' wooden spoons - Gloucs 6, Glam & Warks 5, Derby & Northants 4, Durham, Notts, Surrey & Sussex 3, Hants, Somerset & Yorks 2, Leics & Middx 1, Essex, Kent, Lancs and Worcs never. This does not include Scotland, Ireland, Combined Universities or Mibnor Counties.

In the very wet 2007 season Glamorgan played a combined 17 league and cup LA games, losing 13, NR 1, Aban 3 and with 3 games going to D/L. They ended the campaign with 6 losses on the bounce. West Wales and Belfast fixtures never looked like they were going ahead. This is the only winless LA season in 41 years.

In 1996 Durham played 17 league games winning 3 including a 1st round B&H cup win over minor counties and a 1st round Natwest Bank Trophy win over Scotland. Their only league win came against Essex at Park Drive, Hartlepool. They lost a combined 15 LA Games that year. This is the worst number of losses conceded in a season.

The poorest seasons we have had in league competitons were 1973 P16, W4, L9 & 2003 P16, W4, L12 and in terms of the whole one day season 1982 was P21, W7, L13 and 2005 was P19, W6, L12.

1985 & 1986 were dark days but look what happened in the next three seasons

Indeed- it has been largely forgotten that 1985 and 1986 were two terrible seasons on the trot. Dipak left us; Younis had arguably never been replaced. I remember the headlines that this was as bad as it got, a spiral of decline would surely begin.

And then Duncan Fearnley as Chairman promised real and measurable change. And he got us Botham and Dilley; who became the catalysts for so many Players that we now rightly call Legends that were with us in those terrible years of 1985 and 1986. And remember, one of them was a young Hicky!

Maybe we are back in 1985 and 1986- and maybe we need one or even two inspirational Names to join us this winter and be the catalysts for the lads that we have now...

Maybe...?

Let's not forget 3 consecutive semi finals in 1985-6 ; admittedly all were lost but all were memorable matches . Finishing 5th in the championship in both years was no mean achievement either.

I disagree with WBB that they were two terrible seasons on the trot even if we did finish 16th in the sunday league . Surrey finished 17th in 1985.

Will Duncan as President manage to impact the fortunes of the Club in the same way as he did as Chairman? That is the question.
