| I'm assuming one can pay on the day. Has anyone any idea of how many tickets have been sold for the game? |

| Very sparse crowd !!!! Do you think the tickets are too expensive, or aren't the Aussies the same 'draw' without Warne, McGrath etc. Shame we lost toss, would have liked our 3 to get first use of the pitch. _________________ Alex Higgins R.I.P. Thanks for all my memories of a sporting legend.

| Aussies now 197/6, scorecard looks bleak with Katich 95 and Hussey 75, not a lot from the rest. So, need the Lions to bat until end of play Thursday, Aussies again 'till end Friday. |

| What sort of crowd is there? I have a day off Thursday. Don't really fancy it if the crowd is too big. Hate being hemmed in for 6 hours. |

| This has the feel of a dress rehearsal ; rather like Eastbourne before Wimbledon. What purpose do the Lions have or are we looking at the England team if the team currently playing Warwickshire all go down with food poisoning for two weeks ? |

I'm fairly sure that the Ashes squad will be selected after this game - so Harmy and co are in last chance saloon. Any bets on Bell's score ? |

| Great Day at NR today. Mr.Cricket (Hussey) looked class act, Katich too. Impressed with Onions. It should go onto day 4, as too many Aussies have failed with the bat, they won't enforce a follow on should there be an option. It was so so hot 32c, not complaining |

Hmm I shall go for his usual score when in 'last' chance saloon.

| When my son got home from school today he switched on sky sports and then and asked, isn't that New Road, isn't that Australia? and are we going now? Once again I had to explain that the match wasn't included in the membership and that I wouldn't be driving to Worcester and paying to catch the last 20 or so overs of play. Since we are both involved with Droitwich CC on saturdays mornings we can't really make saturday and expect to get good seats when turning up after dinner, as well as not knowing how long the game will on.
My plan is to take him out of school friday lunchtime and catch friday afternoons play but I see the forecast is pretty grim, do I?
(1) Pay the extra on the day fee
(2) Drive to New Road Thursday and get in advance tickets and risk a fine morning followed by a wet afternoon and just enough overs so there's no refund |
