| Gav,
I don't know which option is best for you - but all I will say is this:
1) The Aussies only come every four years
2) There is absolutely no guarantee that they will play a match at New Road next time round.
I did doubt whether or not I would get down at all, but I'll take a look at the weather on Saturday and put everything else off if the forecast is fair. |

| There's a good point here: add it to the Membership- might be the only way to salvage the Premium grade; or better still, try and talk the Aussies into playing us again!
Yes, we lost heavily. And yes, we might well do forever more...but it's Aussie- so a draw makes a de-facto victory. Just playing Aussie as a Worcs. side is a victory to me. |

| What was the attendance like ? From the tiny bits I saw on the news, England v Warks had a terrible turnout, completely wasted on a large arena like Edgbaston. |

| Sky said there were 3000 there. It looked half empty to me, but as in the last couple of years, with the Dolly stand, and I assume now, the new pavillion, attracting a lot of supporters, the rest of the ground can look sparce. As for Gav, I assume the half price offer is still available for members, but you'd need to check it is available on the gate and not just in advance. Bumble was pretty critical of the pitch, saying it was too slow, and nowhere near as good as the one where Vik got his ton last week. Yet, Hussey said it was a pretty decent wicket. _________________ Alex Higgins R.I.P. Thanks for all my memories of a sporting legend.

| Paying on the day £25 adults £12 Kids no membership discount. Since the membership handbook clearly states "in adavance" and "on the day" i'm assuming the later means what is says and not before the match starts. I'll give it 'till lunch and hope to get a more accurate (better) forecast then order over the phone for collection and if they try to charge full price i'll probably leave it and my season long dissapointment over the way we've been treated by the club this season will be complete. |

| Australia are also playing Kent (2 days) and Northants (3 days) checking their web sites both were including these matches in their membership: Kent £138 (+ discounted T20), N'hants £190 (all matches) So pressumably since this is a Lions the ECB are taking the bulk of the money hence the extra cost. |

| Gav, you have the same diemna as me although I have bought the tickets - £50 for the family. I'm praying we get a decent day's cricket and any possible rain predicted Friday will help. My worst case scenario is that the match finishes closely after 20 overs, say lunchtime.
Aussies rack up a decent total - but Harmison stands out, 4 for 80 off 25. Looks as though he's put himself right in the mix. |

Cheers Searchers, I'd found that too, I was just waiting to check the weather before I call. Cricinfo have a link to the weather channel and that shows rain until about 10, so should be ok for after lunch when we can get there. |
