In fact if it rains, and its abandoned we all have 11 points but we would be top on Net run rate! And with Northants playing us, Warwick playing Somerset even if we loose and Warwick/Somerset win i still think we will qualify in 3rd!

I was thinking about this on the way in...

I fear if we play tonight, we could get beat... so one point each actually suits us as victory against northants, should be enough to see us into the top 3.

and the game at northants will probably be on sky as I believe they haven't confirmed the game yet.

how are warks ahead of us, when they have beaten us?

anyway...

The Twenty20 Cup: Midlands/Wales/West

P
W
L
T
N/R
R/R
Pts
1 Northamptonshire 8 5 2 0 1 0.49 11.0
2 Somerset 8 5 2 0 1 0.45 11.0
3 Worcestershire 8 5 3 0 0 0.89 10.0
4 Warwickshire 8 5 3 0 0 0.21 10.0
5 Gloucestershire 8 2 6 0 0 -0.67 4.0
6 Glamorgan 8 1 7 0 0 -1.25 2.0

if we are washed out, I predict gloucester somerset will be too... which means we're one point behind them with one game left... if their game is washed out and we lose tonight we still have a chance of qualifying if we beat northants and somerset don't beat warks.

it's gonna be tight!

Didn't we need something similar when we played the Irish ? Sorry, didn't mean to swear on the forum.

For the first time I'm getting exceited about the possible finals in Brummieland. Normally, we've "done a Glamorgan" by now.

Every chance that Worcester will get hit by a storm today but the weather is heading East to West so we won't get the Cardiff rain.

HOT NEWS

I work in Stroud and the storm is coming up from Bristol. It is so dark right now everyone is staring out the window - incredible. Like an eclipse. Gloucs & Somerset could be in trouble with this lot.

........now if it could just skip a bit south of Worcester and wash the uncleansed in Malvern we'll be ok.

If you look at http://news.bbc.co.uk/weather/forecast/4282?&search=worcester&itemsPerPage=10&region=uk the weather forecast for this eveing is not at all conclusive - coiuld be washed out or played as normal - just showers!

I think this has just hit Worcester with some force. Lighter sky in the distance, so there is some hope!
