| Williams and Gibson. Used to go quite a bit then even though we never supported Villa which made it a bit hairy in the Holte End. _________________ WCCC : County Champions Elect 2012

Don't know whether to blame Serchers for starting this thread. No sooner do I name my ultimate sporting heroes, a few days later one of them dies. A true Genius Alex 'Hurricane' Higgins _________________ Alex Higgins R.I.P. Thanks for all my memories of a sporting legend.

| It was my first thought when I heard the news this weekend grinner. He was a maverick in all senses and people like him aren't allowed to take part in sport these days to 'maintain image of the sport'. And they wonder why snooker has lost it's appeal when all the players are so bland and boring. _________________ WCCC : County Champions Elect 2012

| R.I.P. Alex Higginns - very fond memories of him when I was a youngster winning the world championship in 1982. |

No WBB, unfortunately not, as I always enjoy matches at Kiddy. My cricket viewing habits, tie in with this thread, i.e. too many snooker matches during the week mean weekends with the missus not WCCC. And yes I would have been prepared to pay the £10/£15 to watch a WCCC away match. _________________ Alex Higgins R.I.P. Thanks for all my memories of a sporting legend.

| You mean there are 2 MCFC/WCCC fans Unless he was a Unicorn !!!! The last couple of years i've spent the summer looking forward to the footie season to start, whereas in the past it has always been spending the winter waiting for the cricket season to start, which I suppose is a shame as i've always considered cricket my number one sport. Just shows how times have changed the last few years for my two sporting teams. _________________ Alex Higgins R.I.P. Thanks for all my memories of a sporting legend.

| In addition to Hicky, 2 names to add... LANCE KLUSENER. The amount of times he rescued South Africa from tight situations was amazing. JOHN DALY. Appears to be a similar character to Alex Higgins; both remarkably gifted, great entertainers, but with troubled personal issues. |
