If he's not offered a contract, we might as well pack up and go home. If he rejects one and moves elsewhere, it would be a real shame, but we MUST offer him one.

The fact is WHY hasn't he been offered one. It MUST be a 2 yr deal, 1yr is NOT fair on the lad.
