| Crumbly tracks, lippy trundlers| Quote: | Then there was Ray Price, a man for whom the bowling of a cricket ball is an inconvenience that gets in the way of his sledging. After letting fly, he immediately scurries down the pitch to get up close and personal with the batsman. He then runs through a melodramatic repertoire of glares, frowns, headshakes and insults, before chatting loudly with the umpire, generally behaving like precisely the kind of person you avoid at bus stops. If you haven’t seen him, imagine Shane Warne with less talent. Really, Ray, enough already. Bullying Darren Sammy is nothing to be proud of. The ball boys probably do that during the lunch interval. You have to wonder how the lippy trundler would have fared if he’d tried it on with Viv.

'The poor man's Shane Warne' - A fine line between chirpy and downright lippy? |

| Good article ! There's something 'so honest' about Pricey you just have to love him. |

| Underrated bowler...if he he had played for a "bigger" county and country, everyone would be raving about him. I'm sure he's a massive influence on the kids he's playing alongside. _________________ My first match: Headley, Turner, Stimpson, B d'Oliveira, Hemsley, Yardley, Ormrod, Wilcock, Gifford, Holder, Carter

| Double posting, sorry. Just going to say that the current WI v Zim series has been good viewing so far, not because of the standard of cricket, which has varied from v good (Raymond, Chanderpaul) to v poor (most Zim seamers and WI batsmen), but because the teams seem reasonably well matched. Zim seem ferociously determined, and to have an excellent team spirit. I would far rather watch this than IPL between 2 teams we've never heard of with players eying their bank balances more than the ball. _________________ My first match: Headley, Turner, Stimpson, B d'Oliveira, Hemsley, Yardley, Ormrod, Wilcock, Gifford, Holder, Carter

| Surreal to see cricket promoted during the Man Utd game on ITV1 tonight- even if it is IPL. Perfect to introduce cricket to the ITV demographic though!
Raymondo..now look, cricket [unlike football usually] is recidivist..after all, Surrey have just had Batty back after 7 years. I've mentioned on here that two Players I would have back tomorrow are Rayzer and Davo...a third is Andrew Hall, but by now we are really going off topic.
But let me repeat- had we known how Batty would leave us and in what circumstances, we should have let him go a few years ago and kept the Rayzer..hindsight is a marvellous thing, though.... |

| He was an honest tryer and smashing bloke, but no match winner. Bowled too flat and too negatively for my liking. Over the wicket at leg stump might contain, but wickets win matches. |

| I thought a decent one day bowler for us. But as you say Hotel before players bowled very negative when he had the chance in the 4 day stuff! |

| I think he should be given the benefit of the doubt, he was bowling under instructions. Besides, in one dayers it's run rate which really matters and he's consistently got the best figures. But he was a liabilty in the field. |
