Moores? Did the England debacle go to your head, Serchers?

Good idea Serchers, if you want to do the donkey work and get them all into tables (my tables never work on here), I'm more than happy to update a section of players throughout the season.

Cheers, I hoped you'd pitch in. Question : where's the best place to get updated 'live' data, is it cricinfo ? Also, are you happy with First Class, or do we go List A (which I'll never understand) and do we make even more work for ourselves and include one dayers - which means a seperate table. Plus it automaticaly means there's a third table which is total performance for FC and one dayers.

Cricinfo is by far the best, it updates it per run that they score etc....
Not sure about List A etc...
What you've got to remember is that last year with my topic on Hicky, their were about 15 or 16 targets to update all the time.
With this you will have probably about 12-14 players each with 7 targets, that already is between 80 and 100 updates, so maybe we ought to stick with First Class.

Well how about a starter -

Can't be County Championship hundreds by WCCC at New Road - GAH fittingly got the 500th against Derbyshire on 6th August 08.

Smudge needs to make tons against Derby, Leics, Sussex & Warks for tons against all 18 counties (14/18) - the full set, including us. Obviously he can only get 2 of these in 2009...

Vik can make up some ground - he needs tons against Durham, Glamorgan, Hants, Lancs, Notts, Somerset & Yorks for all 17 opposition counties (10/17).

GA Hick got them all Home and Away (34/34) but not Worcs. He took 10 years 10 months and 321 innings from maiden century to all 17 and 21 years 11 months and 625 innings for the 17 reverse fixtures completing the set with his final WCCC ton vs Derbyshire at home last August

GM Turner got them all including Worcs (16/16) and needed Kent and Middlesex away (31/33). He took 10 years 10.5 months and 382 innings from maiden century to all 16.

TS Curtis got them all (17/17) and needed Hants and Warks to get all 17 away. He took 8 years 10.5 months and 407 innings to go from maiden century to all 17.

HHIH Gibbons got them all apart from Somerset (15/16)

D Kenyon got the all apart from Middlesex (15/16)

RGA Headley got them all apart from Leics (15/16) and only managed 87* for WI tourists against us

FL Bowley didn't get Glamorgan, Notts, Northants or Sussex but then Glamorgan weren't formed until 1921 and for some mysterious reason we didn't start playing Notts until 1921 and fixtures against Northants were pretty sporadic before the end of his career in 1923 (12/13)

Tables have been completed. In retrospect I could have included more stats for some eg everyone should have a Highest Total and I could have ignored one or two other stats. But these tables are a nightmare to do and you can't add/delete columns and rows as you can with normal web editing, so I've left them as they are.

One or two targets are going to be very easy to achieve and a few look unrealistic but are nicely rounded up figures. I suppose that if everyone got their targets we'd have a cupboard of silverware this year !

Won't the Players have their own targets to reach- set after discussion with Vik and Bumpy?

Yes WBB, that goes without saying. What's your point, exactly ?

The point is that by what benchmarks are you setting these targets?

Landmarks might be a better word than target if you want to be pedantic So Moore needs a further 14 matches to reach his 100th, and 90 runs to get his 6000th in First Class cricket.

Oh, I see the need to show landmarks! Ah!
